It’s no accident that Joy’s 44-year career as a professional interior designer has been successful. Her passion for excellence and inherent artistic talent have been polished initially by a BA in Art and courses at the Academy of Art in Norway and Parsons in Paris, France.
Frequent travels to Europe, Asia, the Near East, Africa and South America continue to flavor her diverse capabilities. Projects also have taken Joy far and wide, including projects in Canada, Colorado, Nevada, Northern California, Hawaii and South Dakota.
Her capabilities are dusted with the constant desire to interpret the tangible aspects of her craft into a creation that each client claims as his own success. “It is very satisfying to be able to help improve the quality of my clients' lives, being their advocate and designing just especially for those individuals.” Very much a “people person” Joy concentrates on listening so that she can emulate her patrons’ needs and feelings about their surroundings, while applying the most up-to-date technology, products and fashion. Listening is necessary; understanding is paramount.
